Phuket Police Rewarded For Major Drug Haul

Phuket Governor Tri Akaradecha rewarded a special operations police unit with 5,000 baht for arresting an alleged drug dealer who was caught with 2,000 meth amphetamine pills in his possession. The arresting officers received a tip-off that the drug dealer was to arrive in Phuket in a van that he’d driven from Surat Thani province. [...]

The arresting officers received a tip-off that the drug dealer was to arrive in Phuket in a van that he’d driven from Surat Thani province.
Police led by Major Teerasak Srirachaya arrested the alleged drug dealer when he parked the van in Phuket Town centre. When police searched the van they found the meth amphetamine pills wrapped in plastic bags, along with several mobile telephones said to be used in arranging drug deals
Governor Tri Akaradecha awarded the police officers at a press conference organised by Phuket Provincial Police Commander Pikat Tantipong.
