Aleenta Resort & Spa Phuket-Phang Nga was the venue for a trendy sundown turtle release and fundraising bash in support of conservation group the Pure Blue Foundation on Saturday 19th November.

Aleenta Resort’s Managing Director and Pure Blue Foundation founder Anchalika Kijkanakorn organised the exclusive beachside charity event to raise funds for projects to support and revitalise local marine life and raise awareness of the plight of the island’s endangered turtles and coral reefs.After sipping creative sundowner cocktails, guests released several young turtles into the sea with good wishes that they will populate the area and nearby artificial coral reefs recently regenerated by the Pure Blue Foundation.Fundraisng activities included a lucky draw for hotel stay vouchers and a silent auction. Ms Anchalika said it was important that hotels and resorts work together to ensure the future of the area’s marine life.
